An Open Letter to the residents of Manordale-Woodvale and Craig Henry
I am reaching out to you as a parent, friend and president of the MWCA. I need your help. The MWCA is looking for someone to manage your/our rink. The person who has run it for the past several years has stepped down and we need someone to fill his shoes. We need someone to step forward to build the rink. We have people that will help with the shovelling and maintenance once it is built but we need to find someone to build it. We have the reputation of the best rink in the area and we wish to maintain that reputation but more importantly we wish to maintain the rink so that all of us — young and not so young can enjoy it. If you are interested in helping us or know of someone who may be interested please contact us as soon as possible. This is a volunteer position; however it does come with a remuneration that will help to compensate you for the time and effort that you will put in.
In closing, please spread the word to all your friends and neighbors. Snow is in the forecast and winter is on the way. It is time to sharpen the skates and begin the rink preparation. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Hope to see you at the AGM on Monday.
